How rentals work

Every rental includes a specialised operator from SE Holdings. You do not operate the machine yourself.

Tractors are never hired on their own. Each tractor goes out with an implement and its operator. The combine goes out with two operators: one on the combine and one on the chaser bin.

Send a request online. Our finance team calls you within one business day to confirm availability, the rate and our bank details.

A booking is firm only when the payment clears. There is no online payment yet.

Rates are quoted per hectare, hour, day or kilometre, as shown on each unit. Where no rate is shown yet, we quote on request.

Minimum charges may apply, for example on small areas or short jobs. We confirm the applicable rate and any minimum before you pay.

Seed, fertiliser and agrochemicals are supplied by you.

Fuel is excluded, or charged as a surcharge, as agreed when we confirm the booking. For spraying, you supply clean water at the field.

Moving machines to and from your farm is quoted separately.

Abnormal-load permits, where required, are charged at cost.

Planting, spraying and harvesting windows depend on the rain. Tell us your preferred month and how flexible you are.

We confirm dates with you before a machine moves, and we re-plan with you if the weather changes.

Drone spraying is flown by a licensed pilot with a ground crew.

Flights are subject to South African aviation and agricultural regulations, and may be delayed by wind or restricted airspace.
